Me: “Say hello; what’s your name?” Cat: “Gertie.” Me: “And what is it that you do, Gertie?” Cat: “I drive people crazy!” Me: “Is that your full-time occupation?” Cat: “Oh, yes.” Me: “You seem pretty sedate right now.” Cat: “Mm, I’m biding my time…” (Shot with my Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant smartphone; I had lighting toggled to fluorescent but the main light source was a 20W halogen desk lamp, hence the hazy glow. I kinda like it.)
This is a video I shot and edited, that was shown at a retirement party for a wonderful lady who worked for years at Tracy-Locke Advertising in Dallas. The guys in the video came up with the concept (obviously very tongue-in-cheek humor), and it was shot over lunchtime at a friend’s home studio. I used my Flip HD camera and an available halogen desk lamp for lighting. I edited in Final Cut Pro. The players: Vocals: Tracy Locke art director Bryan Foux Keyboards: TL art director Chris Rainey Drums: TL copywriter Gib Shellenberger Special thanks to former TL art director Scott McFadden for the use of his amazing home studio. The song is by Phil Collins, “Against All Odds,” from the movie of the same name.
